The Catholic Association believes the release of the movie Bella is a teaching moment on the sanctity of life and an opportunity to renew and increase pro-life activity Washington, DC (TCA) 18 October 2007 - The Catholic Association announces the launch of a national campaign to use the movie Bella as a catalyst to renew and increase pro-life activity and advance the culture of life. The Catholic Association launched the Bella for Life project and website to deepen the pro-life impact of this movie. Bella for Life will transform the new or renewed pro-life interest from the movie into pro-life action. "The main actor in Bella reaches out to a woman in a troubled pregnancy and becomes a "lifeguard". This is the subtle but very powerful message of life, hope and the power we all have to change people's lives. Bella for Life will be trying to build a new army of lifeguards for our world." said Michael Hernon, president of The Catholic Association. Through the website and targeted communications TCA will be reaching out to every diocese and millions of Catholics with the pro-life message of Bella. Bella for Life will connect people with their local pregnancy center -- to become a lifeguard in their community. We need more lifeguards to help turn the tide in our struggle for life. This is the perfect opportunity to activate and motivate a new generation of lifeguards. "This movie is a 'teaching moment' on the sanctity of life and the important role we can all play in saving lives. We want to encourage parishes and Catholic groups to use this as an opportunity to spread the gospel of life." said Hernon. For more information: see www.bellaforlife.org ### |
